Canada Government rocks!

Questo è ciò che si legge nei ringraziamenti del cd dei Death From Above 1979. Praticamente in Canada esiste questo Music Fund che aiuta, sostiene e supporta chi vuole fare musica. E i risultati sono stati ottimi. Solo negli ultimi anni sono emersi gruppi come Arcade Fire, Hot Hot Heat, The Dears, Death From Above 1979, Broken Social Scene, Unicorns, Stars, Stills, Weakerthans, Feist, The New Pornographers... e sono convinto che per molti di questi il Music Fund sia stato un mezzo importante per emergere e affermarsi.

Da noi invece c'è Music Farm, e forse è per questo che i dischi italiani che mi piacciono degli ultimi 3-4 anni li conto sulle dita di una mano.
